Our stay at Bastion was absolutely incredible. From the moment we walked in, we were instantly in a calm, luxurious environment. The staff gave us a welcome drink and a cold towel to enjoy while we waited to be checked in, which made us instantly feel at home and relaxed. Our room was fabulous. The staff did turn down service every night and placed a sprig of lavender on our pillow and left us with little sweets in our room. The shower was huge and amazing. We loved the other spaces in the hotel like the beautiful rooftop, where we enjoyed the pool and saw gorgeous sunsets. The staff was INCREDIBLE! Every person we interacted with was kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The breakfast was also so so so good and was included in our stay. We got to sit in the courtyard every morning and had made to order lattes and other dishes, in addition to the buffet. We got massages, which were lovely. The location is perfect and we had a 5-10 minute walk to everything we wanted to see. Cartagena is magical and Bastion made our trip one we will never forget. If you are thinking about booking at Bastion... DO IT!! You will not be disappointed.

The coffee was freshly brewed, and the juices were made from locally sourced fruits. The staff was attentive, ensuring that all items were replenished promptly. It was the perfect way to kickstart my day. Pool The pool area was a serene oasis in the heart of the city. It was well-maintained, clean, and offered a stunning view of Cartagena's historic district. The lounge chairs were comfortable, and the poolside service was impeccable. Whether you wanted to take a refreshing dip or simply relax with a cocktail in hand, the pool area provided the perfect setting. Location The location of the Bastion Luxury Hotel is one of its strongest suits. Nestled in the historic district, it's within walking distance of major attractions like the Clock Tower and San Felipe Castle. The area is bustling with charming cafes, artisan shops, and vibrant street life, giving you a real sense of Cartagena's rich culture. Despite its central location, the hotel offers a tranquil retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. Overall, my stay at the Bastion Luxury Hotel was a memorable experience. The attention to detail in every aspect, from the sumptuous breakfast to the luxurious pool and prime location, made it a standout choice for anyone looking to experience the best of Cartagena. I would highly recommend it to travelers seeking both comfort and convenience.

The Bastion is located in the heart of the Historic Center, making it a perfect location for tourism. You can stroll easily around the city, and hit basically every major site within a 15 minute walk radius. The Muelle (where you catch boats to the islands) it literally a 10 minute walk away. The rooftop at the Bastion is amazing! The staff at the pool/roof are the friendliest, most professional bunch imaginable. Jorge (who leads up the staff on the rooftop) is a super nice person, with great tips on the city. We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights, and ended every afternoon with drinks by the pool. By day 2, Jorge knew our name, knew our drink order and was super attentive while also being very relaxed. The breakfast is also very robust - fresh fruit, tasty warm food, wonderful coffee.

6th stay in this incredible hotel and as always, it didn’t disappoint. Huge shoutout to Jorge who takes brilliant care of the guests and is super attentive, thank you for everything! The beds are soooo comfy and cosy, the hotel is beautiful and spotless. Best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had, there is a wide choice of buffet and a la carte, buffet is incredibly fresh and offers some unique options. Super tasty. The pool is just perfect and surrounded by the comfiest sun loungers. Location is brilliant right in the old town and close to some especially pretty streets. I’ve taken five different friends here over the years and they’ve all loved it.

The stay was extremely pleasant, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The Room was kept very clean and housekeeping was immaculate. Jorge was brilliant, so friendly and helpful. The pool and rooftop were amazing and helped deal with the heat to cool down

Everything about the hotel is amazing… The pool is fairly private. The rooms are aesthetically pleasing. The service and the staff are the highest quality. The amenities and the view you have going through the hotel is superb.

The staff was exceptional! They were attentive to our needs; always friendly, extremely prompt in addressing any of our needs. The breakfasts were wonderful and very generous. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. We can’t say enough about the staff at the pool . They were terrific.

breakfast - good variety of fresh fruits and delicious food. Pool is good, but not deep, about 4 feet only. Water is very warm. Location is excellent, inside of the city wall, closed to all historical attractions. Room service is good.

I Have been in the hotel for almost 5 days and the stay was exceptional! The staff of the hotel was amazing: Yuli narvaez (marketing manager), Katherine Navarro Hector arrieta Ana Castellar Vanessa mendoza Fabian iturriago Eric ponce (quality manager) I have no words to describe how they are welcoming and nice! And beside that the breakfast was outsanding! I would definitely return back to this hotel and will recommend all my clients and all my friends!! Moreover, the location of the hotel is more than perfect!

the property is nicely located in the historical center and almost all the staff were super nice and kind apart from the receptionist that welcomed us. the hotel has nice modern decoration that is in harmony with the amazing building itself, coming from the 16th century with stunning architecture like most of the historic center in Cartagena
